Chris and Cait are a guitar–vocal duo whose sound blends the warmth of Americana with the subtle sophistication of jazz‑shaded harmony. Partners in life and in music, they bring emotional depth, authenticity, and an intuitive connection to every performance.
Their repertoire spans six decades of great music — Pop, Jazz, Blues, Rock, and the Great American Songbook — alongside their own original material, all reimagined through their intimate, expressive style. Their performances invite listeners to settle in, unwind, and experience familiar songs — and new ones — in a fresh, heartfelt way.
Rooted in Americana but enriched by Chris’s harmonic nuance and the duo’s natural improvisational chemistry, Chris and Cait create music that transcends genre. Their sound explores themes of humanity, love, and hope with warmth, clarity, and a signature that is unmistakably their own - Americana with a twist!

Cait Murphy is a versatile singer‑songwriter with a voice that carries the soulful depth of gospel, the raw emotion of blues, and the storytelling essence of folk. She began singing and playing guitar at nine, and by thirteen was performing original and gospel music at churches, events, and competitions throughout New England. After high school, she toured nationally with a vocal ensemble before stepping away from the stage to raise a family and pursue other passions.
Decades later, Cait returned to music by recording vocals on projects produced by her husband and musical partner, Chris Albertson. The two soon began performing together, first with their Joni Mitchell retrospective project and later performing standards and favorites as C2 Revue. Cait has recently come full circle, reconnecting with the singer‑songwriter roots that feel most authentic to her, even as she and Chris continue to enjoy performing a variety of songs together.
They are now completing their first collaborative album, Walking Each Other Home. The title track marks Cait’s return to her lyric‑driven, singer‑songwriter roots — a heartfelt new chapter created in partnership with her husband and musical collaborator, Chris.

An accomplished guitarist and composer, Chris transcends styles and influences across Blues, Rock, Swing, Pop and Classical. His diverse repertoire includes standards, Bebop, modern jazz. His unique arrangements of pop music delight audiences. Chris has been playing with great musicians on stages and events, across New England for over three decades. He has worked with The Platters, Amy London, The Vermont Philharmonic, Straight No Chaser, Mike Turk, Vito Dieterle to name a few. In other ventures, Chris has worked with dance companies, big bands, performance artists, and numerous guest appearances as studio guitarist and arranger.

There's something for everyone!

Joni Mitchell Retrospective celebrates the life and music of multi-Grammy award, Kennedy Center Honoree and 2023 Gershwin Prize winning Joni Mitchell. Her music reflects our times since the mid 60’s throughout the 21st century. Much of her work is still relevant today and prophetic in its time.
The songs performed represent Joni’s development both as a musician and person. She had an uncanny way of finding the heart of what was happening in American culture, music, and politics. Discussions include Joni’s inspirations for her work, personal experiences, friendships, fellow musicians, and her influence on numerous songwriters and artists who followed.
The intent of the presentation is to honor the importance of her work as an artist, woman, musician, and vocalist.

Women of Jazz celebrates the contribution of women throughout the many eras of jazz history, from the mothers of jazz to the current Grammy winners and nominees!
Although jazz is known as cool, avant-garde, improvisational, and touted for the freedom it permits its players. Surprisingly, jazz has been slow to embrace women musicians. While women were famous for their singing, they achieved much less recognition for their contributions as composers, songwriters, bandleaders, instrumentalists' producers and directors.
Today’s women of jazz are part of the continuing evolution of empowerment, and indications are, the journey isn’t over. The musicians and songs curated for this performance tell the story of this evolution and journey of empowerment and the gift we all receive as a result.
